Hi Lloyd
Nice choice of kit. Tamiya are usually nice to put together without too many complications. Although I've never built a large scale motorbike myself I have seen a few built on the forum.

Fine choice. There are a few bike builders on here if you need inspiration or advice :thumb2:

Progress update, finding the painting rather hard, glass of wine is for size comparison and to steady the shaky hands

Hi Lloyd
Great progress. You seem to have got a lot done. Wine is always good.

A lovely bike in, I think the best colour scheme! I was fortunate to ride one of these in France when I was much younger and not so sensible - it went as fast as it looks like it does
Looking forward to the build have fun ( and not too much ice in the wine ! )

Nice kit. Watch out for the fit of the front fairing/cowling, it can be problematic. ;)

Build is looking pretty good Lloyd, but if you want paint advice, here we go. Tamiya isn’t the best off the brush Lloyd. For the metallics try Vallejo metal colour. It brush paints like a boss! Darkstar metals are also pretty good.

The paitwork does not look too bad in the pictures and with the fairings fitted most of the frame/engine will not be seen. If you do not want to go to the expense of an airbrush then Tamiya rattle cans are OK, I have used them on one or two models.

Andy.

She's getting there ! Maybe a very light sanding on the saddles would get the right effect?
