Hi all
Just finished these adventures to add to my growing Frostgrave collection.....all from the same sprue in the Frostgrave soldiers collection by North star figures....you get four of these sprues in the box, with a multi of options for the build....

First up, Hawkeye the archer.....unlike the earlier Orc, this guy can shoot.....looks a bit like
Tom Sellick if I’m honest.....

Next up, sneaky Pete, the itinerant thief....locked doors a speciality...treasures stolen to order....

Last one in this batch, the Mule....they call him this because is is stubborn, strong, and carries everything...His lantern is brighter than the picture shows, but is still a bit green....getting a good bright yellow over black is difficult....

Here are the other two of this batch.....

Lord Phurcombe, of Phurcombe Hall. Slightly blurry picture I’m afraid, but he found it hard to stay still holding that stupidly large sword....he must be compensating for something, but it wouldn’t be fantasy without a really big sword......

Last up, my favourite figure of the batch....Big Wee Jock....when he was born he was Wee Jock, but he was weened on haggis and porridge and soon moved on to raw sassenachs so he just growled....never tried a kilt before....not sure I ever will again LOL.....

Lastly, la toute ensemble to give an idea of scale.....at least there would be, but I seem to have lost the picture??? They are half the height of a Vallejo paint bottle!

Hope you like them....

Thanks Si, these were good fun to paint. The hardest bit being picking the colour schemes....

Thanks Peter. The Scot was inspired by my comment on your thread regarding the difficulty of painting kilts in 28mm. I thought “how hard can it be”......the answer is “pretty hard”.....took about an hour.

Half the size of a paint bottle??? Total respect Tim!!! I never realized they were so small. I like Lord Phurcombe the best because after a couple of swings of the huge sword, he either eliminates the opponent(s) or has to take a nap to regain his strength....

The snow on the bases looks most excellent too. Interesting stuff!!!

Thanks Allen....that sword is just daft isn’t it.....I had to pick it!
here is a shot of my similarly sized orcs so you can better visualise the heights of the figures....

This weird period has given me time to paint up some of the figures required, but it would be nice to get to the point where I have enough of both figures and terrain to play the game ;) I live in an area where I can still game, and have a regular opponent, but mostly play board games at present because he doesn’t paint or model and this bit is all down to me......

My local gaming place is closed, there has been some gaming going on in sheds but mostly Bolt Action which I'm not a fan of. Meant to be painting a force for an ACW club game of BlackPowder, mostly finished, and a Bronze Age project has also been put on hold. Clash of Spears had just landed with us before lock down and looks good, have a load of Victrix Iberians to get painted for that.
But it's been that long eBay is beckoning a lot of my gaming stuff..........
But not my Quatre Bras project, that ones for when I retire......
