Lets see how we get on with this one. No detailed armour this time, just some lovely drapery.

The box contents:

All very nicely sculpted and a nice clean casting. The coat collar will need a slight bit of filling at the join, but everything else fits perfectly.

So, the head:

Young B Song has given us one craggy, weather-beaten individual. Loads of character with this face, but quite tough to paint, especially around the eyes, which were narrow, deep set and wrinkly. A little bit more to do, but it's more or less there.

Cheers Peter. He ended up with a bit more of a crusty finish than I'd like, but overall I'm quite pleased with the way he's turned out.

Also done some research on the Tropal coat and found that it should have a green or brown collar, which will help add interest:

Morning Peter, again

Great start with the craggy looking head, which looks as good as the box art easily.

The jacket looks more like a waterproof naval reefer jacket, than a desert jacket?

A drapery day ahead and still dull, cool and grey, good for paint, not so for summer!

Enjoy the paint.

Regards

Fernando - Oh, those wrinkles!

Lee - Make yourself at home.

Steve - Morning. May re-paint the head as it's looking an bit crusty this morning and the eyes could be better. The Tropal coat was a British forces kapok-lined garment designed for freezing temperatures, which attests to how cold desert nights could be.

Cheers chaps. Just realised that I'll have to try and remove the head to get the collar on - doh!

Hi Peter
The first was superb but the repainted head is even better - and he has a hat and clothes. Lovely stuff.
