Really a painting exercise - each figure is one part, the horses two parts. They are sold as 'Russian Dragoons' - I had to do a bit of research, and finished them as troopers of the Smolensk Dragoons. I replaced the three separate bases with a 50mm X 50mm piece of plastic cardDSCF0629.JPGDSCF0630.JPGDSCF0631.JPGDSCF0633.JPGDSCF0632.JPG

I used various sorts of acrylic, picking what I thought was the most suitable colour. The base had a thick coat of acrylic paint, sprinkled with talcum powder, then overpainted whilst still damp to give texture.
These are sold generally as wargaming figures, but they're good enough as models in their own right - they are hard plastic, so TET & acrylic paints work well. I have several other sets, including a cannon & crew, but now I fancy some mounted medieval knights...............

Dave, I admire your tackling these different kits types, esp figures in 1/72. They look great.
