As Andy says it’s a .45, but as far a I know that is only the needle cap, the needle is .04, they made the needle cap a little bigger to prevent blocking or tip drying. It’s a fantastic airbrush, certainly wouldn’t class it as the entry level, but it is.
what PSI are you using?
You could...
I used the Ultra 2024 for the first time last week, it’s a very nice well balanced airbrush, I also have an Infinity CRplus, I would chose the Ultra over the Infinity anytime
As when you buy any product you need to go back to the company you bought it from, AK will tell you to contact me, I've already spoken to them for you
If you want to send me your order number I will sort out a replacement, I'm just waiting to see if they have a batch number for them
I did a little bit more, I’m stuck with putting the pipes on, someone said put them in warm water but that’s not really helped, it’s still on my desk so not back in the box yet :)
When changing the needle and nozzle you also need to change the nozzle cap, or they won't work, the only time you don't need to change the nozzle cap is if you are using a 0.15 to 0.2
I’m struggling with the screws for this, they either don‘t fit flush or I just can’t tighten them up, some of the hole alignment is off which is pretty bad for such an expensive kit, anyway not done much today, it’s been a busy day.
This arrived last week but I was on holiday, got back today and opened the box, full of metal and plastic, 477 to be precise with a retail of £789 that works out at £1.65 per piece.
I‘m only at home this week then off again for another 5 weeks, but I’m going to make a start on it.
First bit done
I’m not at work for 2 weeks, I’ve got some sent through, if you want any close ups let me know, we have just had a delivery today with 3 new ones, the Chellos bow moves as it plays.
We sell loads of the Rokr sets, they seem Well made, don’t break as you’re trying to put them together. I’ve never had a company send me so many samples, they are all made up and in display cases, we are running out of space for them.
Made a few modifications and it turned in to a BMW MP4 :smiling5: just a few decals left to put on.
I decided to put the Apache back in the box, it’s a winter project, I’m away a lot during the summer and want to dedicate time to it.
Ammo have brought out a range of car paints called Cobra https://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/cobra-motor-paints/ ours are due in this week, there should be someone in the EU you can get them from.
I blocked the nozzle and put my finger on the cup and couldn’t see any water escaping from cracks, couldn’t see anything under a magnifying glass.
If I block the nozzle the water bubbles in the cup, I’m wondering if it’s been fitted with the wrong size needle for the nozzle or vice versa, I will...
