So here it is, Airfix Mig15 in Chinese Airforce colours vs a Heller F86F in 72nd. Base was made from perspex and styrene sheet.20230428_085837.jpg
The map was piercing sawed out of 2mm styrene sheet.

Then textured and painted. Aircraft are mounted on perspex rods, with map & aircraft mounted to a 14mm thick perspex base.
Happy i am

That is superb Nick. The planes are great models enhanced by very clever and effective presentation.

Lovely stuff there Nick :smiling3:
All looks good, but I particularly like the camo on that Mig,the greens blend very nicely ;)
(P.S. we may all be seeing a modern version of that dogfight for real soon!!)

This is a dual build, i made the F86F a fellow club member Richard made the Mig, i created the base to display them, a great concept, and well applauded by our peers....
Many thanks all

Nice that you built John Glenn's F-86F. Would they have those decals in 1/48?

Wow, this is certainly one of the best Mig15's I've seen built, those colours just work so well, and that display idea is ingenious especially the map overlay, take a well deserved bow, this is a beauty .... :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:

That's cool. The base alone is worthy of the prize. Great camo on the Chinese bird.. and the 86 is very good too!

The models are great, but the actual idea and presentation, are just brilliant. Well done.
