Box art and sprue parts, i have cut out the frame and a few other parts the chrome swinging arm is in 3 parts and i bonded these together to save stripping them as the finish was very nice and joints are hidden apart from that i haven't done much to it but had a look while the 900 was drying off

Hi All well i have the engine, frame and rear damper built up as far as i can go for now painted the mud gaurds and stuck what i can together on the exhaust system stripped forks and painted the tubesthats it for now .. off to Mallorca for a few days be back in a week or so i will check in most days, in between chasing a 5 year old around the beach and pool not sure this will be much of a break

Hi all, well made it back had a great time with the wee one never out of the pool or sea ready for a rest now ….
ok up date on B2 i have finished the frame and bonded the pipes still a bit of work to do on them but here’s the latest hope to get the engine in later

Weekend‘s work exhaust painted and fitted. Swinging arm and wheel assembled will try and get this mounted in the frame later looks like fun…
building has been good only disappointment’s have been the decals for the exhaust unlike some carbon decals these have just not settled and really are spoiling the look of the system i will try some more micro sol and if they don’t settle i will have to pull them off most prominent on the larger section of the can both sides but same on the smaller sections its also a worry for the main decals fingers crossed these will be ok.
not much more to do apart from the tank, fairing & bars, forks are done just not pictured sorry.

hi thursday up date heading in the right direction front end is on rear end is on, fairing primed white then yellow, i think all the other bits are ready to go just need to touch up in a couple of places and new exhaust decals have arrived need to strip the old ones in placeANY tricks for removing the old ones?

Looking good Simon, sorry to hear of your decal woes.

In terms of decal removal, the only time I had to do it I just kept applying decal solution (keeping it soaked) and rubbed at it with a cotton bud. Eventually is dissolved enough and became a goopy mass that I was able to remove. MicroSet actually says "decal remover" on the bottle.

For stubborn decals, have you tried the Ultimate Modelling Products decal solutions? They do a normal, strong and extra strong. The strong is about the same as MicroSet, but the extra strong is very good at thick decals (but may melt thin decals). Also, have you tried applying hot air to stubborn decals, I find this helps enormously. I have one of THESE which works well.

I will give the microsol a blast not looking forward to the goo. I soaked them in warm water but and once i applied them to the can the long sides just cracked and split old kit i have had it a while. Will keep any eye open for the softeners the heat gun great looking tool its in the basket thanks Bob

Evening not quite how i thought i would be spending mine but stripping is working well slow but just about there, on the plus side yellow primer really did bring out the red.(thanks Tim M)

Ok before i put the fairing on a couple of naked shots …. Of the Bike and front fairing
decals left to do I find them easier to do in place. Also new exhause carbon went on well i’m glad i changed them I even scrubbed the tyres, well next up will be finished build fingers crossed anyway

well calling this done decals on and she is in the cabinet a few issues with the decals most obvious the white panel at the front the day might come when i take this off and paint it but for now its fine one side when really well the other side broke up luckily I have managed to piece it all together so no biggie.
last issue was the fairing cowl classes with the instrument panel but its on and the gap is minimal so for now i will live with it all in really enjoyed this build just need to sort the decal issues not sure if its me or the ageing kits

Very nice Simon. I think only you will ever notice the decal issue, it's not particulalry apparent in the pics.
