Hi All,

This is my completed Tamiya 1/35 Stug IV which I built for the Panzers WWII 2016 GB.

Build Summary

I had a lot of fun with this kit. It is the first time I have attempted a camo pattern on an AFV kit. It is also the first time I have performed chipping effects as well, so I was happy with the outcome of both. The kit went together really well too. I did preshade it and the preshading came through. I chose to build it without the side skirts, as I like the way it looks without them. Weathering was done with Vallejo Acrylic washes, Tamiya Weathering Master sets, and chipping using the sponge method. I have done up a video of the kit rotating, and this is one of my first attempts at this kind of video so hope you all like it. The link to the build thread is at the end of this post.

That's a cracker of a build. Great paint and the finish is first class. Nice one.
Liked the video as well. good idea that.
I can understand why it went so fast if you had a long weekend. LOL.

You've done really well with this one. The camo pattern is nicely restrained which makes it look more authentic. The chipping turned out well too :smiling3:

Might I suggest a couple of things for your next one? Ok I hear you say! ;)

The exhaust muffler could do with a bit of weathering; the heat tended to blister the paint, causing rust. The cupola periscopes could be painted to more accurately depict the armoured glass. Painting the glass section white & then a heavily thinned green would work on styrene parts.

Nice work, Bob. The camouflage and weathering has come out really well. I enjoyed the video too. Bet the crew members didn't, though - they must have got a bit dizzy.
