Hi All

This is the final reveal for my Hobby Boss 1/35 V-150 Commando which I have built for the Wheeled Armour 2016 Group Build.

Build Summary

I had a lot of fun with this one. I created an interior for the first time (for a 1/35 AFV), and also used an LED for the first time. As with interiors it is hard to see because it can be very dark, I added and LED to the turret which shines light into the hull and helps to highlight all the detail on the inside. I also attempted pre shading with on this kit, but was unsuccessful on this occasion. I built lights using bare metal foil and was happy with that result. The Jerry cans and Machine guns were detailed at the end. As the Jerry Cans were water Jerry Cans, I had a few options with colour, and I chose the standard black for them, I could have gone with green, but decided the vehicle needed some colour variation. Overall very happy with this build and really learned how to use and LED and also do up AFV interiors. I gave the model a wash with Vallejo Model Black wash to highlight some of the details, and then did some more weathering with Tamiya Weathering Master sets, mainly Sand on the tyres (not too much) , some silver on the guns and in a few other locations, and also a little bit of rust on some of the tools.

The link to the build thread is at the bottom of this post.

A great result there Bob. The idea of the little LED light works a treat. Any chance of a photo in a darker setting?
Well build, well painted and good photos too

Thanks Ian, I will try to get a photo for you in a bit,

but for now I wanted to share this, I created a turntable using a Record Player, the round display isnt the best and will be improved, but it is in a darker setting hope you like it. I have just uploaded it and its not in HD but should be full HD in a few hours.

A cracking build, and the lighting really works well, this is rare for me, as I often find interior lighting is not always succesful. you've really nailed this one, and first past the post eh?

A very nice result Bob! For a well-maintained modern vehicle I think the weathering is perfect.

Thanks Patrick mate, I was hoping to go for the more modern look so happy with that.

Blimey that didn't take you long looks good plenty of time to build another.
