Well, looks like Richard has the most with 4 out of 5.

Q: Some statistical trivia: the crew of a Lancaster was normally 7. Pilot, Flight Engineer, Navigator, Wireless Operator , Bomb Aimer, Mid-upper Gunner, Rear Gunner. Which of these positions had the highest survival rate from Lancs which were 'downed'?

A: BOMB-AIMER-his position was over the nose escape hatch.

Q:To the nearest percentage, how many Lancasters were lost in action?

A:53%

Q:The most operational sorties flown by a Lancaster were carried out by ED 888. How many missions was she credited with?

A: 140

Q: How many Lancasters were still flying at the start of the 21st century (December 2001)?

A:2

Q: Many Lancasters were delivered from the production line to their squadrons by pilots belonging to the ATA service. What did the letters ATA stand for?

A: Air Transport Auxiliary

I'm gonna have a crack at this but my mind ain't wat it used to be

1 rear gunner

2 45%

3 I think it's either 141 or 142 but think one sortie was cancelled due to engine trouble

4 I think this is two pa474 and the Canadian one I'd letters escape me fo the time being

5 ATA I think was the auxillery ( air transport auxillery ) female pilots were involved in this operation to deliver aircraft to RAF units

I know it's just for fun so let me know how I did

Regards

Robert
