After all that I've decided I'm not going to carry on with this.
I attempted the head:
I had trouble when building the helmet, finding that the two halves wouldn't match up, and having to do a lot of filling and sanding in an effort to get a smooth finish. I failed in that, as evidenced by the terrible paint-job, which emphasised all the lumps and bumps. I also found that the detail on the cheek-guards was not as clean as it looked on the sprue, which meant that there were a lot of wavering lines when they were painted. Such would be the case with a lot of areas on the rest of the figure, particularly the leather and fringing.
I did feel when putting the whole thing together initially that getting a clean paint job might be difficult, and on reflection, and after painting the head, I've decided that I just wouldn't enjoy the struggle.
Sorry folks.
