I do like your choice of build. (Watching all of them from the side lines.)

Tiger or Panther? 1/35 Tamiya originally most as likeAs on the x-wing the small details are excellent, especially harking back to the original film set models built out of kits, wonder which engine deck this is?

Thanks for looking in TonyGreat work mick , been away so missed all the star wars builds starting , cheers tony
There certainly are pal, but not one breakThat's certainly not short on surface detail! Some delicate pieces by the looks of it too.
Hahaha! You can work out the size of the model used for filming from this photo There are a couple of German gas mask canisters on the “wings” and I suppose they’re either Tamiya or Italeri 1:35 scale, or possibly Airfix 1:32. Also some aircraft engines at the wing roots, if you can recognise out what those are, exactly, you probably can also work out the kit they’re from.
The front and middle part of a Panther engine deck, and since the lines on your cutting mat are at 1 cm spacings, it’s about 3 cm wide, so probably 1:76 scale. Airfix or Matchbox? Or did Fujimi also have a Panther in that scale?wonder which engine deck this is?

And the funny thing, from today’s perspective, is that model companies now have to go to a great deal of trouble replicating parts from other modelsThere’s so much in there
'Part spotting' is a fun sport in itself, and there are pretty comprehensive lists out there for what went on to what models. As an example, there's a photo of the construction of the Nostromo refinery from Alien where the workbench is covered in Tamiya 1/25 Centurion sprues and boxes. Indeed, you have to remember what models were available when the film was made. And the funny thing, from today’s perspective, is that model companies now have to go to a great deal of trouble replicating parts from other models
Thanks Simon, they are great kits with some of the best detailed instruction, even if you do need to know origami to fold themLooks great Mick really nice build.
It's not just me that thought that thenThanks Simon, they are great kits with some of the best detailed instruction, even if you do need to know origami to fold them
