Probably the biggest waste of money the MOD has spent, but it does look cool :smiling3: is someone going to try and scratch build this

A couple of good photos there Harry.

There will be a new tail for the Airfix and revell Lynx within a year or two, just you wait and see.

Why are they a waste of money If I may ask. Surely that honor befalls the new Lightning II thing that the Navy are getting pushed on them...

Is that F-35C? If so, costs have drastically gone up so we maybe having to just get a couple :D

Nice piccies by the way.

@Ian M

It's a waste of money because it hardly does a better job than he old one, I flew around in these a lot in Afghanistan dropping equipment off in different FOB's & MOB's and they can't not fly with anymore than 3 passengers as the engines just can't take the load. Fantastic looking aircraft and great for Europe but dog poop in dusty hot climates.... They should of bought the blackhawk and flew them as they are battle proven in that theatre. But top brass always seem to rub shoulders with some belters who offer a crapy plan that sounds good.... So all in all, the price of the upgrade could of bought us better equipment... But reguardles of my opinion, I still hope to fly these within the next year when I retake my aptitude test (AGAIN)

I completely forgot about the F-35 so I think that wins hands down

Fair enough. Its the same in DK. They will be getting one of the hawks, seahawk I think. but as with the Lynx and the Merlin's in an altered custom version....

It's had five new handles and three new heads, but it's still the same axe

The British version would be Triggers broom in 'Only fools and horses'!

I think a contender for biggest waste of money would be The last Nimrod prototype with that massive radome on the front.

Great pictures, especially the Wildcat, I've not had the opportunity to see one yet let alone photograph one. :sad:

Hi Andy

I didn't know I had photographed one until I got home and went through all the pictures.
