The Fairchild 24 was introduced as an enclosed cabin version of the companies earlier Fairchild 22 model,the configuration was changed from a parasol to a braced high wing monoplane with side by side seating.Most variants were available with optional float or ski landing gear.

Cruise at 118 mph.

Service ceiling 16,500 feet.

981 Fairchild 24's saw military service during WWII, 456 with the AAF.

They were supplemented by 11 1937-40 F-24's. 9 Civilian became UC-86's at the same time.

1946 F-24W46 165-hp Warner Super Scarab. Cost $8,500.

The last "new" Fairchild 24 was assembled in 1948

from a large inventory of leftover parts in Winfield, KS.
