Hey all.

I'd like to build a TVR Chimaera for my partner as it's her favourite car but my internet and local model shop search has so far proved fruitless.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,

John

Found this

TVR scale models

think it's mainly diecast but there may be some links or ideas you could follow?

Unfortunately they're all ready built die-casts. Thanks for the links though! Looks like I'm out of luck

Hi John,

Not sure if you've given up on this one but SMTS do a metal kit in 1/43. It's around £40 though. All their stuff is sold on ebay these days. You'll find one here:

1/43 CL69 TVR CHIMAERA KIT BY SMTS | eBay

Or do an ebay search in Toys and games to see if anything else turns up.

SMTS kits are quite good and not too hard to build so don't be put off by the fact that it's metal.

All the best

That's an awful lot of money for an SMTS blob! ProMod did a Griffith, which is close.

I did the pattern from measurements taken at TVR in Blackpool. Fascinating visit.

They wanted me to do the Chimaera, but they wanted me to finance it, which is why it never went beyond the Griffith.

Otherwise only pre wedge TVRs are available in slot car resin bodies.

Cheers,

Martin
