In order to simplify the method of painting the uniforms of the crew of military vehicles in the Second World War, the specialists on the staff of Panzer Aces Magazine have created a series of colours which coincide with the standard shades of these uniforms. All uniforms consist of a base and a lighter color for highlighting and grading.

Three colors have been selected for the fleshtones, as well as a series of colors to reproduce the design of Splinter Camouflage, printed on many of the garments and canvas equipment of the German Army.

The Panzer Aces series is presented in a series of sets, each dedicated to a particular selection of colors , such as those used for the wear and tear of tanks, tires and canvas; lights, belts and periscopes, and for the uniforms of the tank-crews of various nations, skintones and camouflage patterns. The colors are also available individually in a table top display.

as we know Model air paints, are designed for the spray gun, and for those that are not so good at thinning down are a bit of a god send, but as said 48 colours based around the Axis is a bit much.....

The Panzer Aces range are very good, the periscope colour in particular is very good as well as the rust colours. That being said I think that the majority of the colours in this range can be utilised on many tanks and not just Axis vehicles.........................

But they are NOT JUST FOR AXIS FORCES!!! Read spraymans post. He has taken the time to write a compleate list of the colours and their "targeted" use.

Panzer aces are in this connection NOT German tank aces. Panzer Aces IN THIS context are A military model magazin that have compiled the collection of colours to cover all armies!

This could explain colours such as British tank crew. Or USMC crew.

I think its a great idea. All they need now is Model Aircraft magazine to do a set aimed at the Aero modeler.
