Hi all

So as some of you know this was completed a few days before the deadline but I’ve not had a chance to take the final pictures until now.

All-in-all a very enjoyable build, although not without a few hiccups along the way.

It also ticks off a number of boxes; my first ever Mossie and in fact my first twin-engined RAF plane since coming back to the hobby. Also another model for my ‘Hunters and the Hunted’ collection.

The build can be found here https://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/andrews-1-72-tamiya-mosquito-mk-xiii.40006/

The full background on the squadron (409 RCAF) and the plane will be appearing in my ‘Hunters and the Hunted’ collection here soon https://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/the-hunters-and-the-hunted-completed-builds.39972/.

Apologies for the lighting but mother nature was not playing ball today. The full range of shots will appear in the H&H thread above.

Beautiful finish Andrew!!! That Flory wash really brings out the details. Too bad I can't get it here...Even with the hiccups you had, this has turned out most excellent and well worth the wait for the finished product and pics Sir. Tip 'o me hat to ya!!!

Looks great Andrew. Nice job :thumb2:

Thanks guys for the support and comments!

I hadn't realised that the photos were so dark.... didn't look that bad on laptop. I'll make sure I take some better pics for the 'Hunters and the Hunted' thread.

No need to apologise. You have always been very supportive and I know how hard it is to keep up with everything on here.

And I am pretty proud of it!
