A tentative start after being away from the bench for well over a year
Is that the Tamiya kit? I’ve read that it’s quite good, but never built it myself. Looks like you haven’t lost your touch, though :smiling3:

Very nice Andy the paintwork is superb, agree with Jakko that you’ve definitely not lost your touch.
Are they decals or masks as they have gone down real nicely over the details :thumb2:

Thanks, and yes it's the tamiya one. Fell together as one would expect.

Cheers Si.

They're the kit decals. I've always had trouble with tamiya ones and I don't think I'm alone in that so spent extra time on them. Still dodgy in a couple of places but I avoided those with the camera :tears-of-joy:

Looks good Andy.
Pete
Thanks Pete.

Thank you Tim.

Builders turned up this morning to make a start on the groundwork & barn. They're a scruffy looking bunch though so I'm not sure how it'll turn out :flushed:
Appearance isn’t everything Andy. I’d be more concerned if they turned up in pin striped suits…..groundwork is dirty and damp at this time of year…..

While waiting for the Geeks to fix my c'puter so I could load pics, I started building a couple of 5-6 tonners for an upcoming scene I want to create on the "Tokyo Express" (Ledo Road) for the CBI theater. These are the dreaded Resin kits from Arsenal M and aside from having to carve miniscule bits from bars of resin they have fit together very well.P1012561.JPG

Started messing with this bus, I think it's going to be a candidate for the German Medical Corps. It's actually quite a rare vehicle being a Saurer BT4500....These were appropriated by the Wehrmacht to fill the need for Personel Transport. It only took four soakings in the Scalecoat ll Wash Away paint remover to get rid of the heavy coat of green. P1012565.JPGP1012564.JPG

I got some basic colours down on this barn while I'm still waiting for the knock-off sculptamold to dry on the base  but my uninsulated shed doesn't look too inviting at the moment so there may be no progress for a few days!

Nice work Andy and great to see you back posting again Sir!!! Uhhh, just keep the snow on your side of the channel. We don't need any of that noise over here in the Fatherland...

Prost
