This is coming along in leaps and bounds Si.


Really like the way the paintwork and weathering are coming together.


I especially like the rusted effects.

UPDATE:


Lower hull painted, all road wheels painted, tracks painted, accessories painted and metal gear boxes fitted. Just need weathering and I can start to assemble.

They took some doing, I made a paint mask but it didn't work, in the end it was spray and then scrape and clean...a lot of work.

UPDATE:


Equipment painted and fitted, lightly weathered, extinguisher fitted, cabling from lights done, cabling in correct position from turret to smoke launchers. Wheels and tracks on, started weathering, rear mudguards fitted.

It doesn't fit into the spray booth:eek: my, but that is a big one. Never seen one of these in real life, bit hard to imagine the scale of them but I can relate to that picture.

UPDATE:


She is now 95% complete, towing cables fitted and painted, slight weathering, just need to finish off weathering the tracks and some other little bits and then once all dry she is ready for a seal coat of varnish, final thing is to add some chains and the bucket when they arrive.


So, with the ending now truly in sight I present her first outdoor event, 'Herta' with her winter companion 'Helga'.

Cheers Ralph, hopefully she will finished by next week then, if, the weather is nice can get some better shots in the wilderness, glad you like it so far. My hands are really playing up so glad it is nearly finished.

Just to add guys...and I know you will not believe this...but, there isn't one bit of rust on Herta, it is African Earth pigment! I know...just unbelievable!

That is lovely of you to say Catalin, appreciate that very much. Nearly at the end now, another few days and then I can put her in the finished section with some better 'in the field' shots.
