I'm trying to get hold of some 1/72 45 gallon drums to use in my kanonenvogel dio in the GB.

Anyone know how to make them/what size or if there is a manufacturer that does them in this scale?

hi allyne, Ive used the same ones that graham has linked to, they are good ,the only trouble is i wanted about 50 for my desert dio so would have cost me a fortune!!! As it is i just bought the one packet for the ones in prominent positions and for the wall of drums with sand bags on top i used roll up cigarette filters, alot cheaper! im hoping to get some pics taken and post it up later today so you should be able to see what i mean , cheers tony

Another way to make them easy is to cut a wood dowl of the correct diameter to size, wrap 2 rings of soft brass wire around it where the ridges in the middle are and then put a piece of heat shrink tubing over the lot and shtink it with a heatgun/hairdrier.

Cut off the extra bits leaving a small edge and you have a nice drum.

You could even carve a piece out of the dowl before the tubing goes on to simulate a dented drum.
