Small update - in process of painting the Bergan and have done the initial painting of the face. Large scale makes it look terrible but honestly, it looks better 'au naturel'. Realise I need to adjust colour tones etc but it's edging towards a tired, hungry, grubby, under stress squaddy- hope so anyway. I realise the need to blend colour more but as this is my first attempt at this scale I'm 'reasonably' satisfied. Obs and criticisms welcome

Hi Steve
Looking good. Blown up photos never really give a true impression.

Coming along well Steve. Camo on clothing is never easy, but you’ve nailed it here.

LOL Andy! You didn't need DPM around the swimming pool - surely! Sorry mate, no slight intended - honestly! :tears-of-joy:
Steve

Edited PS: I used my skanky old smock as the model for this - all that's missing is a retro smell!

Never having served and knowing more about German Second World War uniforms than I do modern British ones, I can't comment on the accuracy but it is looking very, very good indeed already.

I must admit I'd not heard of the soldier before you started this - to my shame - but having read wat he did, his performance in the field was outstanding.

Thanks for taking the time to share your updates and improve my knowledge at the same time!

All the best.

I avoid painting figures like the plague. Because I can't. Yours however, is looking amazingly good. Great work.
