Thanks

Steve,
Jim &
Mick, I have to discipline myself between armour, figures and aircraft regarding finishes. I have worked closely with other aircraft modelers to see how clean they approach painting their kits. I guess that helps.
Paul, I have a Waco too and yes it does look ugly like a sperm whale.
Fernando, glad you like the paintwork.
Colin, I'm intrigued by the fact they were willing to ride something built with matchsticks literally on impact to the ground...all respect to that generation.
Steve, wait till you see what I'd added for markings...
Now these brave men were going to have the ride of their lives and they must have had a great relationship and trust with their ship that they showed it with the grafitti written with chalk before departure.
I used Tippex correction paper strips and wrote with a sharp 2H pencil to get the stenciling. Anything that didn't stuck on was touched up with white paint.
Ok it's finished except for some antennae
rigging. I enjoyed building this and am sad that I have not seen many built. I hear the Bronco 1/35 kit is popular but the price tag has scared me off. Maybe one day just for a section of a dio perhaps.
Cheers,
Richard
