Of course it is! Silly me, why didn't I think of that!

I wonder why and when they stopped using plastic to make uniforms? It's easy to shape, cheap to make and waterproof ......

Recently I somehow got involved in three simultanious builds. Something I swore I would never do - and won't do again either.....

So, having completed the two U. Boats, I have concentrated my efforts on this.

After bending the horses and riders to suit my plan, I gave them all a first coat of paint.

Here is a picture of that first stage...all squeeky clean, with the horses all the same colour...yeeuk!

paint work on the horses, did you use oils ? as they have a real death to them , may i ask what changes

you made to them ? the little guys came out well also , see your not harsh with weathering like me :rolleyes:

Thanks Monica, the paints are Vallejo Model Colour, brush applied.

I changed the two falling horses front legs and tucked them under the bodies. The horse to the left, I changed it's neck and head to make it look twisted as it hit the trench floor, I altered the jumping horse to make it rear up a bit. One thing I did notice....Real horses don't bend much in the middle!!!

The troopers arms were altered a wee bit to suit a falling attitude and the middle one had his torso twisted for the same reason.....

you did a real good job off it,cannot even tell, from the pics ,

your right they dont bend much in the middle as i did dressage for years,

and is tricky to get a model to look as its moving right,well done

did you just cut,pin with wire to bend to shape and then fill ?

I just cut the joints with a modelling knife, filed and butted the joints together in the new position and then glued them. I used Humbrol Filler for the gaps in the joints and then sanded them smooth......No wires.
