Really glad this has a positive outcome Brian. I was having a good catch up and the damage was shockingly unexpected.

Brian,
That's a real bummer, after all that work. Given all the damage can you salvage the hull sides to save all that drilling again.

That is a serious shame Brian. I bet you did one of two things. Exploded in a fit of blue steam and buckets of sparks or just sat and cried. Or both.
Hope the good lady gets a slap up meal for her kind deed.

Brian,
Totally gutted for you mate, been following along since the start of this and know just how much love and work you've put into it..
sounds like you married a winner there mate.....(slap up meal is deffo on the cards for her I think...hell for that kind of understanding the rest of us on here will offer to take her out for meal on your behalf.... :thumb2:)

Now that the dust has settled, is there any chance you could just 'build the remains together' without all the internals, then build the next one showing all the internal bits.. kind of like an inner and outer version of the same U-boat ?

Chris I would have but in my fit of anger I binned it all. and the collection have been to take it all away.
On a more positive note I have also ordered some aftermarket P.E to make drilling out easier :smiling3: in improve overall model.

No worries mate, I totally understand how you were feeling... been close myself a few times over the years...

Christ, I've still got an Abrams tank on the bench that I've lost all interest in doing...just can't be bothered to re-start it.
