Cement for clear parts (windows/canopies)

Typical newbie question warning:

Any advice on what clear plastic cement product to purchase welcomed - there is so much new stuff to learn!

I'm relatively new, and found that Revell Contacta glue suites me best. It's great for very small parts

You mean for attaching clear parts.
I use microscal KrystalKlear.

if the latter, then I use this…it’s like a super strong PVA type glue, but has better holding power.

Don’t try to use Contacta or Tamiya extra thin on clear parts, they could fog them and give disappointing results.

I'll second that. Also its handy if you loose a tiny window of light lens/glass.

Tamiya Extra thin can be used of clear parts but you need to be very careful and only use the smallest amount.

I also use 'Micro Krystal Klear', but if you're on a budget then 'PVA' glue (woodglue) works great as well. Give it a try on a piece of clear sprue, cheers

I've used Micro Kristal Klear for 40+ years w/no regrets. Cures very strong. I've used it to make small windows as well.

I’ve used this too with good results.

The only problem I found is it can be a bit stringy so care is needed.
