My build of the Airfix 1/600 Graf Spee (04211-0)

Unbelievably, I started this build in the months before I set up The Airfix Tribute Forum in April 2006! It has languished on my Shelf of Doom for over 17 years until I resumed it's build three weeks ago!

An OOB build apart from the replacing of the kit Arado floatplane with a Tumbling Dice Heinkel He51, modified to look like a Heinkel He60 which Graf Spee was carrying in October 1938.

Chris, Graf Spee has enclosed Captain's and Admiral's bridges in the armoured tower ("Turmmast") but it also has an open bridge which is immediately aft of the forward 11" turret.

Good grief Chris, you don’t do things by halves do you. At 1/72 Graf Spee will be bigger than your HMS Tiger.

Blimey Chris @boatman , give us a chance. ;) I was working out the best way to answer your question. I have put together a montage of the kit parts, two close-ups of the Turmmast showing the bridges plus a section from the instructions. That should be enough for you to be getting on with. Here is a link to the picture as it is too big to post here.
