Dolman Miniatures 90mm Vignette of Hans-Joachim Marseille and the tail wedge of his Messerschmitt Bf 109F4Trop 3.JG27 Yellow 14

From WikiPedia;
Hans-Joachim Marseille was a German Luftwaffe fighter pilot and flying ace during World War II. He is noted for his aerial battles during the North African Campaign and his Bohemian lifestyle. One of the most successful fighter pilots, he was nicknamed the "Star of Africa". Marseille claimed all but seven of his 158 victories against the British Commonwealth's Desert Air Force over North Africa, flying the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter for his entire combat career. No other pilot claimed as many Western Allied aircraft as Marseille.

A few Photos from the web of Hans;

Great looking sculpt. Is it unusual to mix resin parts and white metal parts?
Great start.

Usually is one or the other medium, but in this case I think it’s for strength, gluing the feet to the base and the arm to the tail plane, that’s all I can think of in this case, as for the head / who knows lol. I have a long cocktail stick in the tail wheel for a big hole in the base which I hope will help keeping it at the right angle. Time will tell.

Wasn’t liking his face, so stripped it back to the metal and will start again, at the mo he looks like something from a horror film, back to the oils in the next couple of days.

Have now set up a little spray area in my office, works well. So I have airbrushed the tail of his Bf-109. Now to paint in the details
