horses, donkeys,or any animal is not an easy think to paint,

overall I,m quite happy with how its turned out,

a few little mistakes,hear and there,but I,can live with that, ;)

as always the camera dose pickup what I,real don,t like or like to been seen,

but that's life,in the world of figure painting,

well I do hope you enjoy this one, :smiling3:

Very nice indeed Moni I do like your figs and painting ( from a professional as you are.

Your right that painting animals is very hard to pull off ( but you have the knack down to a fine art.

Nice subject and very well painted all round.

I like the way you can show age and tiredness of the characters and the lifelike poses you create

Well done

Robert

These are wonderfully executed, Monica, and they really sum up the characters (and their horse/donkey) as I remember them from the book. The Don in particular - thin, spindly legs, sad face. For those in the UK - does anyone see a resemblance to a certain Jeremy Corbyn?

Certainly looks like him Doug lol

Monica, great figures again. They are pains to photograph and close up pictures do not always work. I have done a few busts that, to me, I think look OK for the level I am at. Until I take closeup pictures which shows so many painting issues that you just do not see at normal viewing. It is important to keep things in perspective I think. They look great in the view that you would normally see them in.

I think you have done a wonderful job on painting these two figures.

All the colours look nicely muted and blend well together.

Like you said animals(for some reason) are never easy to paint, but I think you have done a great job with these two.

could not agree more Graham, some things we do just don't look good with that, very closeness in the pic, will show, ever brush make there is,and dose more harm to

your work, maybe as your own guild,of a what not to do next time,

but to show an overall pic,it just wont work,on a small scale, that's how I,see it,I know were I,need to put more work into an area ,and for some reason the camera will pickup what the eyes will never see,
