Enamel wash over lacquer matt

Can I enamel wash over testors lacquer matt?

I assume you're adding a filter Aaron? I don't know about Testors stuff coz it's not widely available here in the UK, but I've applied enamel over Humbrol Matt & they're both enamel based.
