As promised here are the finished photo's of the P47D.

Three and a half months in the making. My only issues with the build have been being able to achieve a good NMF which in the end has worked out ok-ish . The kit builds into an impressive bird and I'm not quite sure where she's going to live I think I will need some more shelving! All comments welcome and thanks again to everyone who has helped along the way.

That's superb. The bubble top P47 is one of my all time favourites. 5 stars.

I like the not so shiny nmf. Seems more credible to me.

Really nice. What did you use for the nmf ? I've got a large project in the pipe line, which will be too much for Alclad.

Colin in the end I used Vallejo aluminium with a final coat of Vallejo gloss varnish, which ended up more like a satin coat. This work out well as I was after a duller dirty finish.

Thanks Trey I always manage to struggle at some point during a build, but it's rewarding when you overcome the problems.

Looks absolutely fabulous. I like the slightly tired finish too. After your trials and tribulations with the nmf it came out beautifuly.

Cheers

Vaughan - that is one very nice Jug. I have not tried a NMF aircraft myself yet, you certainly have 'cracked' it, a great job.
