Finished now :smiling4:

I’m pleased to get it done before the looming deadline.

Thank you to Dave (Gern) for suggesting and hosting the group build. Also a big thank you to all who followed along with the build and added suggestions and encouragement :thumb2:

It’s not a bad kit, certainly better than some Italeri kits I’ve built in the past.
The fit was generally good and you could build an acceptable model straight from the box.
I did add a few extras though, some scratch building and also some seatbelts etc from the Airwaves pe set.
Unfortunately most of it can’t be seen once the model is closed up.
Paints used were from the Hataka Red Line British SAR Service paint set (vol 1).
The decals were the most troublesome part of the build with some of them not settling very well.

Enough waffling now, here are the pictures ;)

Excellent reproduction of a genuine classic helicopter.
Geoff. A pic of an early 771 helicopter at Portland. (The squadron moved to Culdrose in the early 70's) The image was prior to the shift from Mk1's (Note the twin exhaust from the single Gazelle engine). 771 NAS kept its side numbers, 523/524 etc.

Cheers Doug and thanks for the pic, interesting to see the differences between the two types :thumb2:

That has come out really well, and as I suspected, the yellow suit really does add something to it :smiling3:
Thanks Jakko, yes I’m glad you suggested adding it as I didn’t intend to :thumb2:

Superb build Geoff, looks the business :thumb2:
Thank you Mark:smiling:

Beautifully painted and built Geoff, more so in that scale.
