We are currently in the Loire Valley France - just caught this one in the kitchen ! - Not your usual wasp or hornet ... Cant find it on the net anywhere ! Any ideas ? ( I did let it go - not a hater of any, other than Asian Hornets )

Discovered it is an Asilidae known as robber fly - worth looking up !
