Started a Youtube channel after building a shed to move my models into. Put my modelling tools down about 15 years ago. Time to finish a boat load of unfinished models.

Video starts with abit of history about The S100 Schnellboots, then a quick clip of the current status of the Italeri 1/35 S100. This build started way, way before there were any RC kits available for it, so all the mods are scratch built.
I could have sworn i started a thread on this build a long time ago but i cant find it. Apologies for not posting this there.

It got to the point where i had that many on the go i was scared to go in loft. So last summer during lockdown i built myself a shed and promised myself i would get them finished.

Hi Terry
Welcome back to the hobby. That is one huge model at 1/35 scale.

I have the 1/72 Revell S-100 kit and would love the 1/35 Italeri kit. Welcome back

A lot of fun coming up!! in the move from the loft to the shed i broke a lot of the rail stanchions, very easily done on this kit until you get them wired. I have found a place to get some brass ones from, so i will be replacing all of them. Also the scratch built prop shafts have failed the plastic grommets i used at each end have melted into sticky goo. I think the grease i used to fill the tubes with melted them (Used car grease!!!). Looks like i will be buying some premade shafts as well! God knows how i will get the old shafts out. :smiling3:

Thanks Terry, I enjoyed the "History" lesson and was very impressed with your model.....looks like you did a lot of pioneering work back in the day. :thumb2: Rick H.
