So here it is, the Tamiya 1/35 scale Flakpanzer Gepard.

Although an older kit, it still holds up and builds well. The original was one of the motorised ones, You know the ones with the battery box/controller.... :smiling:

The only iffy thing was the tracks which are a bit on the heavy (read thick) side as they should of lived a bit longer when running around in the garden.....

Painted with Vallejo Model color, over their own primer, Washed with Windsor and Newton black oil paint thinned with white spirit. The mud and dust is Vallejo pigment, mixed with a little water and matt medium.

Three frets of PE from Eduard used to give it a sharper look and add a few bits that Tamiya missed.

Hope that it passes muster and as usual comments are welcome.

Neat and tidy Ian, i like that a lot ... loads of details to see and the paint jobs very slick (especially as its freehand)

What did you use for the whip ariels??

Beautiful job Ian. The paint is great and the P.E. bits really lift out the details - loving the padlocks!! A fantastic result from an older and seldom seen kit , 5 star job , cheers tony

Blimey I missed this up until now - I guess I've been a bit too focussed on my own building. Lovely job there - love the padlocks and the tiny chains on the smoke dischargers, a beaut!

Yep! Back plate with ring. Front latch and then the padlock, which only needed folding over.
