That hood looks much better the way you have modelled it. The wider original piece represents the hood full cover.

Started to add the final extras. With the chrome windscreen & lights I actually now found the clear plastic bits of the kit are missing :sad: but no worries, luckily their easy enough bits to make out of an empty plastic bottle ;) so cut rectangular bit for windscreen & small round bits for the 2 main lights. I then decided that instead of the chrome horns to be fitting to the front I wanted 2 more smaller lights, so I cut the ends off old glue lids (in picture) then cut small clear plastic circles to fit on them too.

Great progress on this vintage Jag - really nice. I've got an Airfix 1/32 MG so I'll be watching this with great interest.
