UPDATES FURTHER DOWN PAGE.

I got three model ships from the flea market, all part made and damaged so no use as show pieces. So, what could I do with them...yep, wrecked and rusty.

First one is the Queen Mary, but this is just a liner that has run aground on rocks, wedged she cannot be floated off and is left to rust away.

Have started painting and rusting via washes then rusting, so far it has taken me 2 hours to create the rust sections on the bow and first 3rd of the ship.

Lots to do including some gluing of the superstructure as it has come apart slightly.

All hail the Boaties!

Looks good Si.

I hope you don't mind a bit of input at this early stage, but how about some of the white superstructure showing through - sort of white-ish?

What are the other two? Or are they a surprise?

Am going to wash off some of the rust once dry with a cotton bud and some thinners, give it a dirty look.

The other two are an old Savannah, with loads of bits missing, going to the bottom of Davy-Jones-Locker with this one, the other is the Smit Houston tug, this is going to be salvaged for parts as there are loads missing but it has Kort nozzles on so maybe a sub or something maybe in order, not decided yet.

It looks better in the photographs mate, close up it ain't that good lol. I know there is a lot to do, but don't think this is going to be a head-turner.
