I like it by todays standards I suppose there not all that but but fond memories of what I think was quite dynamic packaging ,although airfix had great art work as a youngster you'd have reached out for the matchbox packaging every time multi coloured plastic and a diorama base no contest. I hope this makes sense but great to see it built with old hands showing it love and respect. Dave

I remember being disappointed when I discovered that other manufacturers didn’t include a diorama base with their 1:76/1:72 scale military vehicle kits.

I must admit to having a blast making Airfix, Frog, Revell and of course Matchbox kits that I made in my youth during the Seventies. Many of these kits I have only ever made once and in the case of the Chaffee it is the first time of asking. When revisiting these old kits I try and get the original Seventies boxings and building them OOB just as I did in the old days. Regression perhaps but I am enjoying the simplicity of it all.

Problem is for me,these days,my peepers exclude me from those cracking,tiny scale,models generally !
