Sat down at the bench to see where we are at. Before I knew it, I had found a brush and was mixing paint. Oh well I might as well get on with it I thought.....Any way after a couple of hours I had wonky eyes and this:

So the next stage will be the weathering.

What do you think?

LOL, thanks Roman. It is hard to keep up I know.

Since we spoke I have tidied some of the lines up a bit and started to do a little bit of ware and tear around the hatches and handles. Tomorrow its rust time.

On the way...

Well its gotten to the point where its tool time and other diverse fiddly bits.

He has also had its first wash if gunk and will over the next few sessions get some appropriate coloured dust. This will tone the rust down a bit and give it an overall look.

I know the tracks are a bit loose, but as mentioned no glue in them so if I think its to much later on, I can whip a link out.

Oh! I nearly forgot the photos!!

Very nice Ian. It's really coming along. The dio surface is very realistic.

I don't know how effective that camouflage pattern was in real life, but it certainly messes up my eyes! Imagine trying to zero-in on that through a gunsight!

It's looking good Ian, I'm guessing there'll be a fair bit of a dusty wash going on?

The groundwork looks very well done although maybe the foliage is a bit too green considering it's the Middle-East / Med?

You ask what we think?

I think it's better to you put pictures of your model, not from real one tank....

Wait... I see wrong... it's your model :smiling3:

Really amazing work my frined (and hope my joke is understandable :smiling3: )

After I see that kind of work on armour, start thinking to find new hobby where I can be better than you...

:knitting:

Cheers,

Roman

Thanks for the feed back chaps.

Patrick, I agree about the grass being a bit green, but it was that or some really green stuff. So I will be toning that down a bit with something. (dont know what).

Roman. I am an mere beginner, lol I look at the aircraft you produce and think I have still a lot to learn!

Ole- Why didn't I think of that. (pokkers også)

A quick update:

The grass is looking a bit dryer and not so spring fresh.

All the fiddly bits are now put on and the hatches opened.

Lost the rear view mirror, but lets just say that it broke off further back down the road ....

Just need to pull a couple of antennae and stick them on.

So..... the next set of pictures will be coming in the next few days in the Completed section.
