Hold on, you've done something fancy to the stern that doesn't use the decal, how did you do that?!?!?

There is a paper decal Michael and some paint to make it look better

Ian, good start.

I'm about to set sail with my modifications.....I'm stumped as to how make the rope 'ladders' the crew use to climb up to the crow's nests.

Any thoughts? I had thought of fine mesh, but can't find anything small enough.

Had you thought of nylon stockings - for the rigging on your ship I mean!

I'm just using EZ line Ron for the ropes going up to the crows nest then not sure for the thinner ones across maybe some clear fix just dabbed and pulled across but will try that later

Doing ratlines on a model that small is amazing. On larger models, the ratlines are attached to the shrouds with a half hitch. At this scale try a human hair for the ratlines. Here is a site with general rigging details

http://sailing-ships.oktett.net/square-rigging.html

and another site

http://titanic-model.com/articles/Rigging/Titanic_Rigging_Reference_MainPage.htm

Take it steady Ian......It's looking good, but it's going to be a toughy and still plenty to do.

Look after those eyes and don't overdo it! I don't like to admit defeat, but I think I might well chicken out of my projected rigging for my Victory. I think it might well do what sight I have left, serious damage...and I ain't joking either!

No worries Ron I'm taking it steady.

I will just have to go insane by myself with this one mate
