Missed this till now, but a neat little project Ian :thumb2:

The damage to the seats and the missing radio are very convincing:cool:

Nice to see some more progress on this Ian. Tyre looks convincing.

Hi Ian
Better and better. Damage is hard to model convincingly - yours is great.

It's starting to look suitably dilapidated Ian, nice work.

Ian,
Looking very good. I like the seats what did you use to simulate the torn Vinyl.
Thanks Paul.
What I did with the seats, was to sand them down until you could just see through them, then cut were I wanted the rips/torn effects and folded them back. Then using an old sponge added the foam.

Ok I got to thinking about the canopy, it looked too nice.

So I cut it up a little bit, added some spars and put a new covering on. Using the VMS paper shaper liquid. ( To be honest it works a treat. ) This is what I came up with.

Just caught up with this one Ian , its looking terrible , in a brilliant way !
Loving the torn seats and missing door cards , genius ! Way back in the day my brother had a 67 beetle and yes , they did know how to rust ! Loved it though , full of character ( and holes )

Did somebody dredge this up from the bottom of the Channel? Very well done Ian.......I'd say you are giving Simon a run for his money! The grimey looking engine is perfect....no faffing about with the rust either. All good stuff. Rick H.
