This is my second entry for this GB. It’s not as detailed as the 1/72 version with plenty of flash.

There you go Ian, it’s dated 1979. There’s plenty of flash on this kit.

Airfix have a totally new one out in the Tropical version, but all the parts start off as a MK.1.

And according to scalemates is from 2015... Not exactly new. I'll stick to the Italeri one.

After some extensive cleaning, I’ve managed to get some parts put together, and done some painting.

When compared to the 1/72 Airfix kit that you are also building it is clear to see how far Airfix have come. I've no doubt you'll tame this old kit and produce a decent result but it will take some fettling. I wonder if there will be fit issues as well as loads of flash.
