Wouldn’t the wheels throw up dirt and mud and stuff when the plane takes off and lands? Or would that be immediately wiped and washed away by ground crews?

Most likely there would be some but the bulk of it would have been caught by the mud guards that the Mosquito has. I believe the prop blast would have blown most away. Unfortunately not many underside photo references to prove the theory.
Other than WW2 prop planes, modern jets I believe operated from hard tarmacs to prevent muck build up and anything entering jet intakes. Russian jets would have mudguards as they operated from rough terrain like dirt roads.

Cheers,
Richard
