Due to a very kind and generous S.M. member, who shall remain unanimous - Unless he wants to reveal himself, that is! I recently became the recipient of his part built, part painted kit.
So, we have sort of completed the build together. Rigging done with ezee line. I added some extra antenna using eleccy cable innards. It was a full hull, so I ground off the lower half to make the seascape easier to model. (Sorry member)
A very nice model with enough detail for me. The only downer was the too thick railings. They are supposed to go all around the main deck, but to fix them would have totally trashed the vessel, so I simply left them off. I don't buy aftermarket anything. preferring to spend the saved money on another kit! Also, I've probably positioned the flag in the wrong place......
Sorry for the poor photo, I forgot to take one of the box art, so I've 'robbed' one from ebay.....
Anyway, due purely to there being too many pictures of the boat in various situations, I will divide the snaps into three sections.
Leaving the Baltic.
Snooping around.
Full ahead!
Here is S79 'Wiesel' leaving the Baltic. Thin ice to negotiate.
Polyfilla 'Ice' and the sea livened up with clear silicone.
Cheers and thanks again Mr. Member.
