As mentioned on "Whats on your bench" here is my 1966 boxing of the B26 Marauder, the kit should be the famous "Flak Bait" but i bought this knowing the kit did not have decals/transfers......
I now refer to a book i have, The Dancing Dodo by John Gardner, a good read if you choose, the Dodo is a B26, the story is set in the summer of 1976, with it's origins in WW2.
For a kit of this vintage i was quietly surprised at the surface details, not overdone, raised and recessed panel lines and rivets, the raised details were taken down with a P600 wet n dry buff over, leaving enough but not completely eradicating them.
I have detailed the cockpit, rear and upper turrets, opened the port gunners/entry hatch. Ive added 13grams of lead .... so no tail sitting here.

Styrene strip, misc offcuts etc, rebuilt control yokes and seats, added covers and belts.

Primed the internals...

A slap of paint and the lead added, instruments came from a spare Italeri Hudson transfer sheet.

This is where i am as of 0600 today, i got a canopy mask set (for the Hasegawa kit) some fit, some didnt. The dorsal turret has been masked and painted, demasked and awaiting masking for overall painting. I have chosen to build fuselage and wings separately so that i can handpaint the noseart myself without the nacelle impeding my brush.

This is fun, my first ever B26 and something different which at future shows either you'll know or not re subject.
