Had a mishap on the final lap - I dropped the Dr.I, and wiped the undercarriage - Careful repairs are just about acceptable, but this is very fragile, and I can't see it lasting very long.

Several pieces were lost in the crash landing - a footstep & two handles on the rear fuselage. I'd knocked these off several times before, and decided not to replace them.
Nice model - simple construction, minimal rigging. I used filler only on the front lower fuselage. For some reason, I don't really like the Fokker Dr.I , but I wanted to have a go at the streaky camouflage on the upper surfaces. It took experimentation, and a few attempts, but I'm reasonably satisfied.
It's finished as the Jasta 27 May 1918 aircraft of Hermann Goering. The Eisenkreuz marking had been replaced by the Balkan crosses by this date.
Thanks for looking in.

Good work Dave. The streaky camo really looks the part.

Lovely work Dave. A shame about the crash landing. Maybe an in-flight pose is warranted to protect that landing gear?

Looking again at the pictures, I see that the undercarriage is on skewiff! Given the amount of CA on it, I'm afraid that's the way it will stay!
