No worries my friend there is a lot to keep up with on here. Glad your aboard.Paul apologies for not joining this earlier on . I've had a read through , amazing build and the attention to detail with your scratchery is awesome awesome, thank you.
Cheers Mark.Nice

Cheers Bob.Wonderful work,AGAIN Paul,

Blimmin Eck mate,Slowly moving on. Decals now applied with a few casualties they were nice and thin and appeared to go on well only to flake off a little while late despite setting solution. Still the important ones are in place. The paint work received the oil spot wash and a the first pin wash.
Next the side car frame was added and the two modified struts fitted.

In this picture you can see the modified support struts and the added detail including the rotary switch to the gear selectors.
Still have to add a few parts to the bike the decal and glass to the speedo, detail the lights and continue with the weathering.
cheers
Scottie
Thanks Andy, Now that would be great to work on.Blimmin Eck mate,
That really is top notch, I'm heavily into my bikes,(and have been looking to restore a crated up either Zundapp or BMW R75 Combi since about 2014),
Loving what you're doing with this, superb stuff.
Indeed it would be .....Thanks Andy, Now that would be great to work on.
Good luck with the search and happy hunting.Indeed it would be .....
... Saw a few crated up R75's for sale back in about 2015, due to circumstances I couldn't follow them up TBH,(and if memory serves, they were only about four grand), I'll be back in the hunt this Summer mind
Dave, I really don't know what to say apart from I am humbled by those words thank you very much indeed.Paul when people ask me what or who inspires me I always think no one really but if I see something that makes me think wow ,normally diffrent words to that effect then I've been inspired ,Paul thank you ive been inspired to carry on at the bench as I'm sure most of us have on seeing this master piece. Dave
No thank you ,I dont own any factual reference books but am in possession of some nice glossy modeling/ technique books not to copy but they do help you go in the righ direction and the pictures are inspiring ,lots of people lose faith in this hobby because they can't understand why theirs won't come up to what they see else where ,I've been there but have learnt to not be daunted by what I see others do just take inspiration from it. The same as Tim has inspired me to get figure painting i dont suppose ill come up to what the lads on here knock out but hey they've inspired me to give it a go.
Paul, thank you I'm glad it looks natural that is what I aim for. Not sure about nerve it's hopefully knowing when enough is enough and try putting the wear in the right places where it would occur. This is just so impressive - every step done beautifully. I love the wear - really bold placement of the scratches, but looking completely natural. I guess doing that takes some nerve?
I just felt the temptation would be to put tiny random scratches everywhere (a common practice in miniature painting), rather than placing a few big wear patches accurately. Looks great!Paul, thank you I'm glad it looks natural that is what I aim for.
