its our show a week on Saturday and there's a bit of a sci fi theme to it and some of the lads asked me if I was bringing my falcon I've said yes but then I thought about my Battlestar Pegasus ,

It's looks good but it's really just a steel colour so I've decided to give it a bit of a oil dry brush to give it a bit of a variation in hull colour so I thought I'd ask your advice you good people

I've done one side of it and left the other so you will see the difference View attachment 109094

and the weathered side

I think I would have streaked it front to back Alan to give it a sense of force and speed.

Cheers guys I'm pleased I'm on the right track :smiling3:

I might do a little dry brush of steel on the raised areas just to give them more prominence but I'll try that on the underside and see how it looks :smiling3:

Well it's done and I'd like your opinions please as I'm not sure doing this has improved it , yes it looks different but is it an improvement?

I think it looks better, gives that nice gritty look.

Is that a right look though?

Do you think a very light dry bush of the base colour would improve it or not make any difference ?

Sorry Al, nipped out. I think it looks okay as is, be careful you don't add and add. One of my problems is faffing. Maybe a light highlight of the base over the larger sticking out details just to add a sense of depth.

No problem mate , I have had a look at some screen shots and I've added some what appear to be scorch marks se what you think View attachment 109182

How not sure , is it colour ? Is it not needed ?, is it not that it looks in keeping with the model ?

If it's a cosmetic in that it doesn't look right being brown or it's not needed I can alter that with little effort

I think it doesn't look right, just a tad over much for the whole model.
