Outstanding work, Ian!!!!! I love the 111. May I ask advice on how to paint the frames on the glazing??? I have used a #2 and #11 blade through tape but have had very poor results as this always cuts the plastic beneath the tape. Thanks!!!
Hi,
When i mask up the canopies i do each frame piece one at a time, This may seem a bit tiresome but but the end result is a frame worth shouting about, It only took me a day to mask/paint the HE111 canopy.
I use
tamiya 6mm masking tape which is cut in half length ways this makes it curve and there is no need to cut the masking tape on the clear parts, There is nothing worse than masking/cutting then painting the frame only to find that your cutting wasn't bang on and you have a horrible lines on a part of the window.
This
tamiya lancaster and the blenheim has all the frames indavidually painted.......
Heres a few pictures of how i do them, many a people have asked how i've done my canopies
