completed this a few weeks ago and forgot to post some pictures up, ignore the base as this will be a dio of a hardened aircraft shelter with eurofighter when finished, that will follow in a few weeks.the blackbird kit is italeri 1:72,still havent tried to weather anything yet,but next time i promise to have a go.the kit came with a drone which i was not going to use but didnt really thing it was usefull for anything else so i ended up sticking it on.all comments welcomed.

Nice one Andrew, have always been tempted to have a go at this one, how did you find the detail on the kit? This aircraft always strikes me as more science fiction instead of engineering fact. There are a few web sites with walk around photo's of the SR-71 which you probably know about; the paint seemed to get stripped off, no wonder with the heat generated at the speed this baby could go at. Excellent job. Cheers Derek

to be honest, this kit was a bit of a pig, the fuselage just did not want to go together and the wing section was twisted but i may of just been unlucky.
