A little something i knocked up last week while on holiday in the lake district, weather was awful, so had a few hours a day to build. stowage is from red zebra;
With the rest of the family away, good opportunity to get the airbrush out on a 'school' night;
Primed with Tamiya NATO Black, followed by first coat of Tamiya Panzer Grey;
Then Light Grey added and started to add highlights;
Progressively getting lighter
Till i was at a point where i needed to stop or it could have ended up looking to contrasty;
Fallen back in love with Tamiya paints, thinned correctly they spray beautifully, without the clogging issues you can sometimes get with Vallejo paints, pants to brush paint though :D
Exhaust has been painted and rusted with Vallejo Rust set along with some Vallejo ‘paste’ to create the rough texture then dry brushed with gun metal. Tracks were painted gunmetal and then had a rust wash followed by rust pigments (pigments fixed with Tamiya XF20a), Rubber painted on the wheels. Machine guns touched in. The whole lower half then received a very light coat of Tamiya Buff, from about 20cm away, to add the initial dust layer followed by speckling dust/mud onto a few places. Hope you like it so far
looks great Steve,real like the affect of rust on the exhaust,very nice weathering as well,real like this one,very well done, :D
Brilliant, really nice. But I'm still stuck at your first sentence, you get to build model's on holiday - wow. I just have to sit quietly and pretend to enjoy myself.
